It’s almost summer! What I most want to eat is fruit, smoothies, salads and refreshing drinks, like this vegan iced matcha latte.

Mine with matcha was love at first sight. I tried it for the first time in Berlin and I loved it, but until recently I have not had the courage to buy it and prepare it at home. It’s not exactly cheap, but the truth is that it goes a long way, it’s more nutritious than green tea and it has 10 times more antioxidants. It is a perfect substitute for coffee and has many benefits for our health (increases concentration and memory, reduces stress, helps purify the body, etc.).

Ingredientes

Scale

  • 2 cucharaditas de té matcha
  • 2 cucharadas de agua caliente
  • 1/4 taza de agua del tiempo (65 ml)
  • Hielo al gusto
  • 3/4 taza de leche de soja (190 ml)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix the tea powder matcha with the two tablespoons of hot water until they are well integrated. We use a special bamboo whisk to make matcha tea, but you can use a fork or a spoon without problems.
  2. We add the rest of the water and stir again.
  3. In a couple of glasses add ice to taste and soy milk.
  4. Finally add the mixture of water and matcha tea and stir. To make it foamy we used a milk frother, but it is optional.
  5. < li id="instruction-step-5">We do not add sweetener, but you can add whatever you prefer to taste.

Notes

– You can use any plant milk.
