After a long hiatus we are back. We have missed you a lot and we are sorry to have kept you waiting, but we had to deliver a very big project that we had pending for a few months and it has been impossible for us to do anything else. We hope to be able to tell you what it is soon.

Para el relleno:

  • 1 taza de frambuesas (120 g)
  • 1/2 taza de moras (75 g)
  • 1/2 taza de arándanos (70 g)
  • 2 cucharadas de harina, nosotros usamos de trigo sarraceno
  • 2 cucharadas de panela o azúcar moreno
  • 1 cucharada de zumo de limón
  • 1 cucharada de agua
  • 1/4 cucharadita de canela en polvo

Para la parte de arriba:

  • 1/2 taza de copos de avena (50 g)
  • 1/4 taza de harina, nosotros usamos de trigo sarraceno (30 g)
  • 1/4 taza de almendras troceadas (30 g)
  • 2 cucharadas de panela o azúcar moreno
  • 1 cucharada de sirope de arce o agave
  • 1 cucharada de agua
  • 1/2 cucharadita de canela en polvo

Para decorar:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC or 350ºF.
  2. Put the filling ingredients in a bowl and stir with a spoon or your hands until well combined.
  3. Put the mixture in a baking dish. We used a 9 1/4 x 6 x 2 inch (23 x 15 x 5 cm) rectangular one, though it can come in other shapes or sizes.
  4. Put in all the ingredients from the top in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  5. Spour the mixture from the previous step evenly over the filling.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until tops are golden brown and fruit is bubbling. The time may vary depending on each oven.
  7. Let rest at least 10 minutes before serving. It can be eaten both hot and cold.
  8. We serve it with a little healthy vegan frosting, but can also be eaten with ice cream, yogurt, milk or even as is.
  9. You can store the red fruit crisp in the fridge in an airtight container for about 4 to 5 days.

  • You can use another proportion of berries, other berries or even other fruits.
  • We use fresh fruit, but you can also use frozen fruit . In that case, the ideal is to rinse it a little under the tap.
  • You can use any flour, sweetener or dried fruit.
  • Add more or less amount of sweetener depending on the how sweet you want the crunch.
  • If you use oat flakes with a gluten content of less than 20 ppm or 20 mg/kg, it will be a recipe suitable for coeliacs as indicated by the regulation CE 41/2009. However, people with severe sensitivity to gluten can experience symptoms below 20 ppm, so they should consider their tolerance level.
