Vegan Couscous (caramelized onion and raisins)


  • caramelized onions:
  • 2 large onions < / li>
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • cous cous:
  • 250gr cous cous
  • 300ml vegetable broth


Cut the onion into fine strips, when it is golden remove from the heat.

Add the raisins, sugar, ginger, turmeric and a pinch of salt in pan.

Mix and add the water and cook for about 35/40 min.

Bring the vegetable broth to a boil, when the broth has boiled, stop the heat and add the cous cous stir with a fork.

Let stand 3 min and then cook 2 more min on the heat.

Add sautéed vegetables such as a carrot and a bell pepper.
