As I was telling you, we usually prepare a good amount of pâté and store it in the fridge to consume it during the week as a breakfast, lunch or snack sandwich. Any time of the day is good to consume this tofu pate. It is a healthy pâté, without fat and with enough protein. I hope you like it and, above all, that you are encouraged to try it.

Ingredients
  • 1 block of firm tofu (approx. 350g)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cc of mustard
  • Chives
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
Preparation
  1. Cut the block of tofu into cubes and boil it with a little salt for about 10 minutes. We drain it and let it cool.
  2. While the tofu is boiling, we will grate the carrot. Next we will drain it and with the help of a fork we will crush it to make sure that it loses as much water as possible.
  3. Using the hand blender, we crush the tofu together with soy sauce and mustard until creamy in texture. Later, we add the grated carrot, the chopped chives, pepper to taste and mix with a spoon or fork.
  4. In this case, we have completed the sandwich with tomato, avocado, lamb’s lettuce and a bit of alfalfa, but with a bit of imagination you will surely be able to create your own very tasty versions.
