Very good to everyone! Today I come with a very easy recipe to feed the fruit-based recipe section. Although this recipe is suitable for all times of the year, it seems to me simply perfect to serve as a dessert at Christmas. Smooth texture, aroma of vanilla and cinnamon, the comforting warmth of freshly steamed pears.
It is a very cheap recipe and you can find the ingredients in almost any store. The only “less common” thing is vanilla, which you will find in different formats. Liquid, concentrated… I give you instructions to prepare it with liquid vanilla, but you can always taste the milk to know exactly how much flavor you want to give it.
Ingredients
4 small slightly ripe pears
1½ cups soy milk
A splash of liquid vanilla
A piece of lemon peel
A splash of lemon juice
Half a tablespoon of agave syrup
Cinnamon stick
Cinnamon powder
*We will need a steamer
Step by step
- We will start by peeling our pears, but leaving the top stick uncut.
- Next, we fill our steamer of water up to its maximum capacity.
- Place the first level (in case your steamer has several levels) and put the pears inside it.
- Cover and set the timer for about 45 minutes (the time can vary depending on the maturity of the pears: the more ripe they are, the less time they will need).
- On the other hand, when our pears are ready, we turn off the steamer and let it go steam coming out little by little.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, place a cup and a half of soy milk, a splash of liquid vanilla (the amount can vary depending on how concentrated the vanilla is) , a piece of lemon peel, a very small splash of lemon juice, half a tablespoon of agave syrup and a cinnamon stick.
- Turn on the fu ego at medium-low power and stir for 10 min., when the milk has already been well impregnated with the flavors. We turn off the heat.
- We pour our vanilla milk (with the cinnamon stick included) into a deep bowl and submerge the pears for at least 20 minutes.
- Finally, we serve the pears in a deep container partially submerged in the vanilla milk.
- We accompany it with a little sprinkled cinnamon powder
- And that’s it!
