This mustard seitan recipe can also be made with natural seitan, but I recommend using smoked seitan because it combines very, very well with mustard. I hope you like it and you know that if prepare at home, I’d love it if you show me a photo of the result.

Ingredients
  • 250 gr. of smoked seitan
  • 250 ml. of natural oat drink
  • 50 ml. of water
  • ½ onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 generous cp of mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh Chives
Preparation
  1. We fillet the seitan piece. The thickness of the fillets will be to taste, although I recommend not cutting them very thin.
  2. Peel and cut the onion into small squares. Peel the garlic and crush them a bit with the help of the blade of the knife.
  3. Heat a pot and add a little oil, lightly fry the seitan fillets 1 or 2 minutes on each side. Seitan tends to stick to the pot, so I recommend that it not be too thin, so it doesn’t break. Remove the seitan fillets and reserve them.
  4. Put a little more oil in the pan if necessary and add the onion and garlic. Let the onion and garlic fry over low heat.
  5. When the onion is golden, add the oatmeal drink, water and mustard. Stir to dilute the mustard and add the seitan fillets. Bring to a boil, cover and let cook for 10 minutes.
