If you don’t consume dairy products or if you are thinking of giving them up (I encourage you), you can find a wide variety of plant-based milks on the market, the problem is that they are usually expensive and many of them contain ingredients that are not healthy, such as white sugar, preservatives, dyes, among others. The good thing is that plant-based milks are very easy to make and are usually much cheaper, like this rice milk, which only has water and rice. To make it sweeter I have added dates, but you can use another sweetener or just add nothing. If you want your milk to be more or less thick or dense, you can add more or less rice.
had never dared to prepare rice milk and the truth is that I don’t know why, since it is very easy to prepare, you just have to beat cooked rice (steamed or cooked) with the water and the sweetener of your choice.  ;You can strain it if you do not have a very powerful blender or if you prefer a more liquid texture, although it is not necessary. To strain it, I recommend that you use a gauze, cloth or utensil to make vegetable milk, since with a strainer it may not be perfect.
- 1/2 taza de arroz integral (o de cualquier otro tipo) cocinado (100 g)
- 2 tazas de agua (500 ml)
- 4 dátiles
- Beat the brown rice ( ideally, the rice is at room temperature or cold), the water, and the dates.
- Strain the milk using a cheesecloth, cloth, or utensil to make vegetable milks. This step is optional, especially if you have a powerful blender.
- Store the milk in the fridge in a closed bottle or container and use it within 3-4 days.< /li>
