Raw oatmeal yogurt


  • 1 cup raw oat grain
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • A pinch of vanilla powder


Soak the oat grains overnight.

The next morning wash them, drain them and mix them with the water. Pour into a bowl and cover with a clean damp cloth, leave to ferment in a warm place

Stirring every 8-12 hours and making sure the towel stays damp. You will see some bubbles after about 24 hours and it is the sign that the fermentation has started. Now you can choose how long to ferment, depending on how strong you want your oatmeal yogurt to be. When it reaches this point, mix with vanilla and sweetener and reserve in the refrigerator in a jar. Served with fresh fruit, nuts, nut butter, jam… you name it!
