millet curry

  • We need (for 2 dishes)
  • 1 cup of millet (wash well before cooking)
  • 3 cups vegetable broth (or water
  • Glutamate-free vegetable broth pill)
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1/4 green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemongrass
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili ground (skip if you don’t want it very spicy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 / 4 teaspoons fennel powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black sesame

Previously, you have to wash the millet well, with a fine strainer so that it doesn’t escape. once washed we reserve it.

In a paella pan we are going to put the oil, once it is warm add the garlic, the onion, the peppers and the courgette and make a sauce, when we have it ready we add the spices and the salt, mix, put the broth (or the discarded tablet in the water) and bring to the boil, when it boils add the millet (always one part of cereal for three of broth), lower the heat and let it cook for about 17 minutes , from time to time we stir to see the grain and that it does not stick to us. After this time, we turn off the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

In this case, we serve it in the form of a timbale with a ring and we put black sesame on top, which, apart from decorating, gives us a touch of flavor very good.
