At home we like to eat simple in our day to day life, especially healthy carbohydrates such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, pasta or bread (unrefined), vegetable proteins such as legumes, tofu, tempeh or textured soybeans, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats and we brighten up our dishes with sauces, since we don’t use much oil.

Ingredientes

Scale

  • 1/2 cebolla morada, troceada
  • 1/2 pimiento rojo, troceado
  • 1 mango, pelado y troceado
  • 1 aguacate, troceado
  • 1 jalapeƱo, troceado y sin las semillas
  • El zumo de 1 lima
  • 2 cucharadas de cilantro fresco, troceado
  • 1/4 cucharadita de sal
  • 1/8 cucharadita de pimienta negra molida

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Serve immediately with nachos, cruditƩs, bread or with the accompaniment of your choice. You can also use it to accompany any dish or even as a salad dressing.
  3. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Notes

  • You can add or use other vegetables, fruits, or ingredients.
  • If you don’t like it spicy, omit the jalapeƱo or add less. We use fresh jalapeƱo, but you can also use a jar or can (check the ingredients to avoid additives). Another option is to add a little chilli or any other type of chili.
  • The lime juice can be replaced with lemon juice and the cilantro with parsley or any other fresh or even dried herb.< /li>
