Cake pops are little balls of cake like a lollipop. There is no recipe for cake pop, that is, any type of cake and any topping will do. For example, we can cover a cake pop with fondant (like these little ghosts) or with a decorated chocolate coating. If you use an already baked sponge cake, you should add a little vegan cream cheese to it so that a dough is formed that you can shape into a ball. There are also machines to make cake pops and bake the cake dough directly there so that it is round.

Cake Pops de Fantasmitas para Halloween (veganos)

  • 300 gr. of flour
  • 300 gr. of white sugar
  • 200 gr. of melting chocolate
  • 200 gr. of margarine
  • 250 ml. of water
  • 1 cc of vanilla extract
  • 1 cc of baking powder
  • A little salt
  • 60 gr. of vegan cream cheese (Tofutti)

  • Son 60 gr. of cream cheese for 520 gr. of brownie.
  1. Preheat the oven to 150º.
  2. Put the sugar and salt in a bowl. Add the sifted flour and cocoa. Mix all the ingredients with the help of a whisk. We also chop the nuts a little, avoiding leaving very small pieces. Reserve.
  3. We melt the margarine together with the chocolate. Later, we add the water and vanilla extract and, finally, we add the rest of the solid ingredients. Mix well with the help of the rods and pour the mixture into the mold, previously greased. Bake for 50 minutes.
  4. When the brownie is cool, crumble it into a bowl and add 60 grams of vegan cream cheese. Mix well until well integrated and obtain a dough.
  5. We take portions of dough of about 50 gr., shape them into balls and stick them on a cake stick pops.
  6. To hold the cake pops, we can use a foam base. We can also use a tall glass.
  7. To make the sheets, we roll out fondant until it is 2mm thick. Cut the fondant in the shape of a circle with a 10 cm diameter cookie cutter. You can also use a glass or other container of the same diameter, and cut out the shape with a knife.
  8. With one of the cake pop sticks, make two holes for the eyes and one for the mouth.
  9. Place the piece of fondant on top of the cake pop and gently rub it with your hand so that it takes shape.
  10. Finally, we gently press the dangling fondant between two fingers. In this way we will make the waves of the sheet.
  11. Our ghosts are ready to liven up our Halloween night!
