Kentucky Fried Coliflower

  • 2 cups soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 liter of frying oil
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 3 tbsp salt (extra for later)
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 3 tbsp of mixed dried herbs
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp white pepper
  • 3 tbsp baking soda

In a small bowl, mix the soy milk and apple cider vinegar. Set aside.

Cut the cauliflower into chunks (you don’t want too much stem, so be careful with that) and set aside.

Add the oil to a saucepan or fryer and bring over medium-high heat.

In another small bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, paprika, pepper, and baking soda.< /p>

Dip each piece of cauliflower in the soymilk mixture before completely coating the flour mixture, gently tapping off excess before carefully adding to the oil.

Cook until golden brown and deep and drain on a paper towel before adding extra salt and serving with your favorite sauce (might I suggest smoked barbecue?)
