Have you ever wondered how to make homemade bread? I had always wanted to prepare it at home but rarely have I found a homemade bread recipe as easy and rich as this one.

Plus, it only requires 4 ingredients that you can easily find, and I love the crunchy texture on the outside and the soft, comforting texture on the inside. You will tell me what you think!



  • 4 tazas de harina de trigo (500 g)

  • Mix the flour, salt and yeast in a large bowl.
  • Add the water and mix until well combined. I prefer to use a spoon, but you can also mix with your hands.
  • Cover with a cloth and let sit at room temperature for 2 hours.
  • Grease a cast-iron pan with a little oil or a 9×5-inch (23×13 cm) pan.
  • Transfer the dough to this container and let it rest at room temperature for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 230ºC or 450ºF for at least 15 minutes.< /li>
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. You can also poke it with a knife and if it comes out clean the homemade bread is done.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to let cool. cool completely. Yes  you don’t have a rack, you can use a plate or whatever you have on hand.
  • Serve your homemade bread for breakfast or snack with a little hummus, red fruit compote and < a href="https://fogdance.com/vegan-butter/">vegan butter, apple-sauce< /a> or vegan cheese on top, or use it as an accompaniment to dishes such as stuffed peppers, couscous with vegetables, lentils with vegetables or even pisto. Whatever you want!
  • You can store it at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze it for up to 3 months (I always slice it before freezing).


  • It is very important that for this homemade bread recipe you use dry baker’s yeast. If you use baking powder or baking powder, your homemade bread won’t turn out well.
  • You can add a little oil to the bread dough if you want, but it’s not necessary.
