A step-by-step guide to making a Flaxseed Egg, Egg Substitute for Baking!


  • 1 tablespoon < span class ="wprm-recipe-ingredient-name">Seed meal in (raw ground flaxseed)
  • < span class="wprm-Recipe-Ingredient-Amount">2 1/2 Soup Water


  • Place the flaxseed meal and water in a bowl and stir. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken. Add to recipes instead of 1 egg (as written in the original recipe).
  • This is not an exact 1:1 -Substitution in any recipe as it does not bind and solidify like an egg when cooked. But I found it amazing in pancakes, quick breads, Brownies, Muffins< /a>, Cookies and many other recipes.
