We return to the fray with another recipe to take advantage of our dehydrator. We love dried tomatoes and we use them in some of our recipes because they keep for a long time, although you have to be careful that they are completely dehydrated, otherwise they will grow mold after a few days.

Dehydrating tomatoes in the dehydrator is incredibly easy, you just have to chop them, place them on the tray and wait, nothing more!



  • 450 g de tomates Cherry (1 libra)


  1. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. The finer you slice them, the less it will take to dehydrate. If you use other types of tomatoes, you can chop them into thin slices, although the dehydration time may vary.
  2. Remove the seeds from all the tomatoes, you can use them to make a salad, gazpacho, puree, you name it!
  3. Place the tomatoes on the rack and dehydrate at 45ºC or 113ºF for 10 hours. The time may vary depending on the type of tomato you use. I usually have them between 10 and 12 hours, but it can be more or less time. If you dehydrate them at a higher temperature they will take less time but they will lose nutrients.
