Homemade Vegetable Tofu Fillets (very easy)

Very good to everyone! We start March with the recipe that I promised you last weekend: homemade vegetable Tofu fillets.

This recipe is very easy and cheaper than it may seem. You will see a little further down that the recipe only consists of letting the tofu marinate in the sauce, batter it and brown it in the pan. The price is quite cheap for the amount of fillets that you can get, especially if you buy the tofu and soy sauce in an Asian food store, since in the supermarket the price of these two ingredients skyrockets.

Ingredients

1 block of White Tofu
Soy sauce
Parsley
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Spelled flour (or the one you use to coat)
Olive oil

Accompaniment:

Olive oil

Step by step

  1. Cut the Tofu into slices no more than 1 cm thick. Place them on a clean cloth, cover and press gently until the moisture from the tofu is gradually removed.
  2. Prepare a deep plate and place the fillets. Cover with plenty of soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley.
  3. Let them marinate in the sauce for at least 30 minutes, turning and turning so that they are well impregnated on all sides.
  4. Meanwhile, peel and cut the potatoes into wedges. We spice to taste with sweet paprika, hot pepper, garlic powder and salt. Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown.
  5. In another plate, pour plenty of spelled flour.
  6. Remove the fillet, coat it well on both sides and reserve.
  7. Grease a frying pan with a generous splash of olive oil (look at the amount of oil in the fourth photo).
  8. Heat the oil, place the fillet and brown it until you get a crispy edge.
  9. Remove and serve hot.
