Tomato sauce is an ingredient that we often use and that gives a lot of play in the kitchen, the problem is that most of those that are packaged contain sugar, refined oils, additives and preservatives, so the ideal is to buy one that is made with natural ingredients or prepare it at home.
One of the first recipes we shared at Danza de Fogones was precisely this tomato sauce< /a>, although we have improved the recipe and now it is even richer.
Ingredientes
- Aceite de oliva virgen extra
- 2 dientes de ajo
- 1 rama de apio
- 1 zanahoria
- 6 tomates pera (750 g)
- 2 cucharaditas de sal marina
- Pimienta negra al gusto
- 1/4 taza de agua (65 ml)
Instructions
- In a pan, heat a splash of oil of olive, add the chopped vegetables (except the tomato) and cook about 5 minutes over medium high heat.
- Add the chopped tomatoes (I don’t remove the skin) , salt and pepper and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes.
- Whip the sauce together with the water and taste to see if you need more salt. If you want the sauce to be less dense, add more water and beat again
