I guess it was the creamy texture of this fruit that gave me the creeps. But one day I decided to jump in and ate some nachos with guacamole, how good it was! I am sure that, as it happened to me at the beginning, some of you do not sympathize too much with avocado, but do you dare to give the rich guacamole a chance? Perhaps you will change your mind.
But, despite the myths that run on the internet, avocado has very little protein (only 2 g per 100). So now you know, avocado is an excellent source of unsaturated fats, which should be present in the diet every day, but it is not a great source of protein.
- 2 large avocados
- 1 tomato
- 80 g tender onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cp salt
- A pinch of ground cayenne
< li class = "ingredient" itemprop = "ingredients"> 5 cilantro sprigs (leaves)
- Peel the onion and dice it. Reserve on a plate or in a bowl.
- Clean the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. It is not necessary to peel them. Reserve the tomato along with the onion.
- Peel and mince the garlic. Also chop the coriander leaves and set aside.
- Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. With the help of a spoon, remove the meat from the skin.
- Place the avocado in a bowl, add the lemon juice and mash it with the help of a fork.
- When the avocado is well mashed and smooth, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Now you have the guacamole ready to serve or accompany your favorite dishes!
