These energy balls are one of my favorite snacks to snack on between meals when I’m hungry and especially if I have to take them out of the house. It seems incredible that such a simple recipe can be sooo delicious, but it is. You can use any dried fruit, any other type of dates (although it works better with Medjool dates), raw cocoa (I haven’t tried making them with carob, but they sure are killer) and any oil, or even make an oil-free version by substituting it for more dates or for a little maple or agave syrup.

  • 1 taza de avellanas tostadas (140 g)
  • 1 taza y ¬Ĺ de d√°tiles Medjool (300 g)
  • 2 cucharadas de cacao en polvo sin az√ļcar
  • 1 cucharada de aceite de coco

Instructions

  1. Put the hazelnuts in a food processor or in a powerful glass blender and beat for a few seconds until crumbly.
  2. Add the pitted dates, cocoa and coconut oil and beat again until that all the ingredients are perfectly integrated.
  3. We make small balls with our hands. We got 18.
  4. You can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for about two weeks or even freeze them for months.
