Cream of beans with tofu


  • 400 grs cooked beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 liter of vegetable broth
  • A few tofu tacos
  • 2 chillies
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Some chives stalks
  • Slices of loaf of bread
  • Salt and pepper


Peel the onion and cut into fine strips. Heat half the oil in a saucepan and fry for 5 minutes.

Rinse the beans, drain and add the broth to the saucepan. let everything cook for about 10 minutes.

Crush everything and pass it through the food mill if desired.

Season and aromatize with the cumin and a pinch of pepper.

Peel the garlic and cut into slices. Heat the rest of the oil and fry them. add tofu and chillies; sauté for 2 minutes.

Spread the cream on plates and distribute the tofu with the oil and a little chopped chives on top.

Toast the slices of bread and serve as a side dish.< /p>

Note: there are different types of beans and this dish can be prepared with any of them; varying the colour. You can even try making the recipe with different beans and serve on a single multi-colored plate, with the tofu in the middle.
