I’ve wanted to prepare this recipe for a long time, it’s called corn chowder in English, it’s a typical soup from the United States and I didn’t really know how to translate it, so it’s going to be corn chowder. ? It’s very simple and It has an unconventional flavor, at least I had not tried anything like it.



  • 1 cebolla
  • 2 dientes de ajo
  • 1 pimiento rojo
  • 1 ramita de apio
  • 2 patatas medianas
  • 4 tazas de maíz (540 g)
  • 3 tazas de agua (750 ml)
  • 1 taza de leche de soja (250 ml)
  • 1 cucharadita de pimentón dulce
  • 2 cucharadas de vinagre de manzana
  • 2 cucharadas de levadura nutricional o de cerveza
  • 4 cucharadas de tamari o salsa de soja
  • Pimienta negra al gusto


  1. Cut the vegetables.
  2. In a pot, heat the water and when it starts to boil, add the vegetables and the corn. Cook over medium-high heat until tender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, stir, and cook 5 more minutes. If you find the soup is too dry, add more water.
  4. Brush about 1/3 of the soup in the blender. Pour the mixture into the pot with the rest of the soup, stir and serve.
  5. To decorate we add a little fresh parsley, red pepper and celery.
