Hello everyone! Today I bring you a quick and easy recipe for a special vegan breakfast. If you are looking for a breakfast to surprise, for a birthday or simply the typical “surprise romantic breakfast” here is a cheap idea. It’s about these coffee and chocolate French toast with walnut pieces, which practically make themselves in the oven.

You will find all the ingredients you need for this recipe in any supermarket. The slices of bread I used are tender, but you can use day-old bread just like you do with French toast. By soaking them in oat milk, they become tender.

Ingredients

2 slices of bread (1 per person if they are large)

Plant milk (I used oatmeal)

2 tablespoons of liquid vanilla

Cinnamon

1 dash of coffee

Agave syrup or your favorite sweetener

Chocolate melted

Walnuts

Cherries or strawberries

*Ideally you should use parchment paper

Optional: icing sugar

Step by step

  1. Fill a deep plate with oat milk and mix 2 tablespoons of vanilla, 1 generous jet of coffee, a touch of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of sweetener and mix well.
  2. Submerge the slices in the bowl for a few seconds and remove them when they are well soaked.
  3. Place them on a baking tray with baking paper on. Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees turning on the top and bottom.
  4. Meanwhile, paint the toast with syrup (or sprinkle grain sweetener on top).
  5. Put the toast in in the oven until golden brown (about 15-20 minutes depending on the oven).
  6. When they are slightly golden, remove them from the oven and place the melted chocolate, strawberry or cherry pieces, icing sugar and pieces on top. of walnuts.
  7. And that’s it! Accompany it with an orange juice or a coffee to have a vegan breakfast of 10.
