The sangria along with the Tinto de Verano are two of the drinks that I most want to drink when it’s hot. In my daily life I never drink alcohol but when I go out or have a special meal I feel like enjoying a glass of cold sangria.

  • 1 litro de vino tinto
  • 300 mililitros zumo de naranja
  • 200 mililitros de agua
  • 45 gramos de azúcar moreno (3 cucharadas soperas)
  • 2 plátanos
  • 1 melocotón
  • 1 mango
  • 1 naranja

  1. Put the water and the sugar over high heat so that the brown sugar melts and remove from the heat. Let cool.
  2. Cut the fruits without skin and reserve.
  3. In a container (we use a giant salad bowl) add the fresh orange juice, the syrup (the mixture of water and sugar), the red wine and the chopped fruit, stir well and leave to macerate for 2 or 3 hours in the fridge.
  4. After that time we put the sangria in a pitcher with ice and we have it ready to serve.
