Pinning on Pinterest I saw several recipes for sweet potatoes baked simulating French fries. I had already made this recipe with potatoes before but it hadn’t occurred to me to make it with sweet potatoes, so as soon as I saw them I decided I had to try them.

The best thing about the recipe is that it is very light because it hardly has any oil and you can also add the spices that you like the most or that you have at home because it is very versatile.

  • 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva virgen extra
  • 1 cucharadita de albahaca
  • 1 cucharadita de pimentón dulce
  • 1 cucharadita de tomillo
  • Sal y pimienta negra al gusto

Instructions

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes, wash them and cut them into strips as if they were French fries.
  2. Put them in a bowl and add the oil and spices. We remove so that they are distributed equally. If you want you can put the sweet potatoes, oil and spices in a bag, close it and shake it, this way it will be easier and everything will be better distributed.
  3. We place the sweet potatoes on a kitchen paper on a grid tray and with the oven preheated we put the tray halfway up and bake at 220 degrees for 20 minutes if you like them soft or 25 if you like them very crunchy, although this time may vary depending on your oven.
