There is nothing better to start the day in a good mood and with energy than a rich and powerful breakfast. Porridge is my second favorite breakfast after green smoothies and I usually have it when I am out of the house or when I feel like something warm and sweet.

It seems incredible that something so easy to do is so delicious. There are many different ingredients that we can use, my latest discovery has been almond butter and coconut oil, I love adding a spoonful to oatmeal because it gives it a very creamy and rich touch.

  • 1 taza de copos de avena (120 g)
  • 1 taza de agua hirviendo (250 ml)
  • 2 manzanas
  • 1 plátano
  • 1/2 taza de pasas (80 g)
  • 1/4 taza de leche de avena (65 ml)
  • 2 cucharadas de sirope de arce
  • 2 cucharadas de canela
  • 1/4 cucharadita de nuez moscada

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC or 355ºF.
  2. Put the rolled oats in a bowl and add boiling water to cover (about 1 cup). Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Once the time has passed, the oats will have absorbed all or most of the water. Add the chopped apples and banana, raisins, oat milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir and pour mixture into a baking tray or container.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
