We continue with the Christmas dishes! Brussels sprouts have a very bad reputation and it’s a shame because they are a very healthy food and can be very tasty if we know how to prepare them.
Today’s recipe is a perfect garnish for any main dish, it is very healthy, quite light and its ingredients make it have a unique, special and very Christmassy flavor.

- 225 g de coles de Bruselas (1/2 libra)
- 4 dientes de ajo
- 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva virgen extra
- El zumo de 1/2 limón
- Sal marina y pimienta negra molida al gusto
- 1/4 taza de nueces pecanas (30 g)
- 2 cucharadas de sirope de agave
- 1/4 taza de granada (40 g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC or 390ºF.
- Cut the cabbages in half and put them in a baking dish.
- Add the cloves of finely chopped garlic, oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- Remove and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Add the pecans and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until the cabbage and walnuts are golden brown.
- Remove the oven dish, add the syrup and the pomegranate, stir and we have our garnish ready to serve.
